How to make Batik?

Batik have many of motive. Not just in domestic, in the other country to like in Rusian. In Indonesia, batik motive have many of variation too, like Jogja Batik and Solo Batik. Although two of them use ukel and semen-semen, but actually both of them are different. The different of them is in the color. The color of jogja batik is white with black motive. And the color of solo's batik is yellow witrh white motive.

Although batik motive being a general view in Jogja city, but just several people know how to make a batik. Base on how to make it, batik is defided in two. "Batik cetak" and "Batik tulis". Batik cetak made by printer, the art of batik tulis is more higher that batik cetak. just several people know how to make batik tulis. We have surveyed to the specialist of Batik Tulis. And now we will tell you about the role to make Batik Tulis.

The step for make a Batik Tulis :

• first, we make a design in mori cloth with the pencil. Actually when the people make a design for batik sometimes people just copy the other motive or make a design by themselves.

• And than the second step we using canting. We put the melt candle into the canting and than draw in mori cloth. This function it's for when we dip the mori cloth into color material, the part we give the melt candle did not coloring. After the candle is dry we put the mori cloth into the material cloth.

• The last processes is ‘nglorot', It's the time when the cloth is dry and we boil that mori cloth into the pan after the colour is change. This function it's to disappear the candle for clarify the batik. Don't worry, the color won't be lose because the candle not all fade.
