HIV stands for Human Immunodeficiency Virus, is a virus which attacks & decreases human immune system. AIDS stands for Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome is a group of diseases that are infected by HIV, or caused by the decreasing of human immune system. On the first phase, the person who is infected by HIV physically is not different from the people who are not infected by HIV. We can tell the difference of their health status is only by checking their bloods in the laboratory. The person who has normal human immune, the tamed germs that usually lives inside our body or comes from outside doesn’t cause disease. However, if the immune system decreases (as in a person who has positive HIV), they can cause diseases. Condition like this is called opportunistic infection like TBC, pneumonia, brain infection, skin infection, etc. The one thing that is supposed to be aware of is that the virus can spread to other people, and other people can be infected. Their health is influenced by their quality of nutrition, and life motivation. |
