Autocracy

Autocracy is part of government system which the power of policy held by one person. The word "auto" means alone, and word "kratein" means command. There are two kind of autocracy system, that is traditional autocracy which don't have house of representative, and modern autocracy which have house of representative. In modern autocracy, although the country has house of representative, but it's no more just to complete part of the country. Besides that, it don't have any function and right as house of representative. It's just work as formality organization for the power of the country. In modern country, this government system manifestation into one political party.
Leadership can be exhibited in a variety of ways and circumstances. Mothers and fathers show leadership in raising their children with good values and encouraging them to develop to their potential. Teachers show it in inspiring students to learn and to develop their intellectual capacity. Health care workers can be leaders and develop services that meet the needs of the communities they serve, or work in collaboration with other organizations to create cost-effective, prevention-oriented programs and services. Many studies have been done and many books and articles have been published on this subject.


Autocracy is not synonymous with totalitarianism. It also isn't synonymous with military dictatorship, as these often take the form of "collective presicencies". However, an autocracy may be totalitarian or be military dictatorship.

The autocrat needs some kind of power structure to rule. Very few rulers were in the position to rule with only their personal charisma and skills without the help of others. Most historical autocrats depended in their nobles, the military, the priesthood of others, who could turn against the ruler and depose or murder him. The true nature of a historical autocracy and the difference between an autocracy and an oligarchy can be difficult to judge.
