Skills
When we look people in the organizations, they would like to develop , help us to become good leaders. They seen that leadership brings big difference in their lives. It's because most of people around them need leaders who had great skills to help them. Leadership is something we do to other people. But, in the fact, leadership should be seen as something we do with other people, and how the relationship between leaders and people who lead by us.
Leadership is a situational. What is required of the leader will always be influenced by the situation. For example, leaders who found their place, but lost their qualities because when the situation is not in their side, or moved. Leadership also is nonhierarchical. Much we get something new knowledge from leadership literature is overly concerned with those who reach the top of organizations. In the truth we know that some of senior leaders has probably to damage us which had little understand about leadership. We have worked with many organizations where the pressure for change is keenly felt, the vision is skillfully communicated, and there are highy capable people, but no one knows what to do first. Nor do they understand how a first step might lead to another and so on until eventually the vision is achieved. In effect, there is a communication breakdown. No one can connect the grand vision to day to day actions. And until they can, all of the talk of visions is just talk.
Knowing yourself and the context are not enough. You also need to act as a leader. Since leadership is inevitably a relationship, we focus in the later chapters of the book on the leader's skill in managing relationship and communicating inspirationally and with good timing. To be a good leader we must have skills e.g. to empathize, to build relations of warmth, loyalty, and affection, and when to be distant to keep people focused on the goal, to address poor performance, to give relationship an edge.
