Rules

Java Gamelan has some rules that must be applied while using it. Such as the tempo, when must certain instrument, like gong, kempul, kenong, and kethuk must be played, and the melodies in every tembang. There is also a rule of politeness for the wiyaga and sinden. Before they play gamelan, the go to their instrument not by walking, but by squatting. They do this also after they finish playing gamelan.
