What is Gamelan ?

You may don't know before what is the meaning of gamelan. From the language, the word gamelan means doing in Javanese. But if we look at the reality, gamelan is one of Javanese cultural activities that shown with music. Kempyang, kethuk, kempul, kenong, gong, saron, demung, slenthem, slentho, bonang, gendér, gambang, siter, celempung, suling, rebab, kendhang, bedhug are played together.
